Creating an account is voluntary. It is useful if you want to keep access to your answers and feedback in Essay Coach, so you can download and review them later. Each answer you submit is sent to Anthropic, a company outside the university, to generate feedback. Your username and email, and your answers and feedback, are stored in a data centre in the EU.
